TRACK REVIEW: Widowspeak / Dead Love (So Still)

Widowspeak has released another single off of their upcoming third album, All Yours (Out September 4th on Captured Tracks).

The track itself has a bubbly feel to it that covers up the dark lyrics of unrequited love and this is pulled off great. The instrumentation perfectly complements the vocals of Molly Hamilton. Both psych and folk influences can be found within the track and it creates a beautiful marriage of the two genres in a way only few bands can do successfully and Widowspeak is one of them. Hamilton’s vocals are dreamy and distant but powerful in the way she delivers the lyrics.

Overall, the track is really good and probably one of the better singles of the year so far and we’re highly anticipating the new album’s release in September. Widowspeak has shown us again that with every release, their music gets even better.
