TRACK REVIEW: Mulligrub / Homo Milk & The Man In the Moon

Winnipeg based band, Mulligrub, are gearing up to release their debut album Soft Grudge on April 23rd by releasing a pretty great new single. Influences from bands like Waxahatchee and Swearin’ are easy to see in the music yet they still create their own unique sound that packs quite the punch.

The song originally started as two tracks but now they are one and they really do fit together quite well. The song starts out pretty simply with some slow drums and a really nice guitar. The bass joins in soon with the vocals following. The track quickly builds momentum and soon launches into the second half. This half of the song really starts the show the power that Mulligrab can bring to a song.

Overall, the song is a really great release from Mulligrub that makes me excited for the release of their debut album. Make sure to keep an eye on Mulligrub as their debut comes out and we get to hear more material from the three piece.

OVERALL, “HOMO MILK & THE MAN IN THE MOON” GETS AN 8/10
