TRACK REVIEW: Westerman / Misantropé

In January, we heard the debut single from London based singer songwriter, Westerman, and now he’s back with another single off of his upcoming EP, Harvard, due out sometime this summer.

In his new single, Westerman keeps his same acoustic sound with beautiful reverb soaked vocals but integrates a really nice but subtle synth into the song that really adds to the overall sound. Westerman is really showing us his songwriting capability with this song with his interesting lyrics about a fictional love story around a girl he meets in the town of Saint-Tropez, France.

Overall, the second single from Westerman’s debut EP is still keeping me pretty excited for the upcoming release. He’s really showing that modern folk is still alive and it’s heart is beating to the sound of the drums on his music.

OVERALL, “MISANTROPÉ” GETS A 6.5/10
